Ethical Leadership Development
Promoting the practical application of ethics in business education is central to Pearl Initiative’s mission.
Rather than a separate programme, ethical leadership is integrated across all our initiatives, whether through governance, transparency, or anti-corruption efforts.
Our Student Engagement initiative empowers future business leaders by connecting them with GCC businesses, exposing them to real-world ethical practices, and offering lectures from industry leaders on integrity and preventing corporate misconduct.
Student Case Study Competition
The Pearl Initiative Case Study Competitions engage university students in researching real-world ethical practices within Gulf organisations, promoting practical business ethics and building a regional case study library.
Since 2013, nine rounds have involved 1,700 students from 70 universities, producing 450 case studies. In collaboration with regional partners, including the Masari Challenge in Bahrain, 40 companies have participated, resulting in 36 winning entries.
Student Workshops
“We were absolutely thrilled by the collaboration between the Ministry of Youth Affairs and the Pearl Initiative. Together, we are working to empower young people with the skills and opportunities they need to succeed and lead in the business world. The ‘Masari Challenge,’ part of the Youth Forum in Governance, was a powerful example of this partnership – helping youth discover their potential, build vital skills, and embrace corporate governance. Strategic partnerships like these are essential to sustaining youth entrepreneurial projects and fostering long-term business sustainability.”
