The Role of Philanthropy in Entrepreneurship and Innovation in the GCC

The Legatum Center for Development and Entrepreneurship (CDE) at MIT and the Pearl Initiative are collaborating to host a convening to showcase research findings by CDE on the Role of Philanthropy in Entrepreneurship and Innovation in the GCC. Dina H. Sherif, Executive Director of the Legatum Center at MIT and Senior Advisor to the Pearl Initiative, will present key insights from the study. This will be followed by a panel discussion, Re-Defining the Role of Philanthropy in Entrepreneurship and Innovation in the GCC, featuring prominent voices from the Gulf’s philanthropic and entrepreneurial ecosystems. The discussion will offer actionable recommendations on fostering an innovation-driven ecosystem in the Gulf, with a focus on the strategic role philanthropy can play in advancing this mission.
