Break the Bias Series – Tackling Unconscious Gender Bias

Gender unconscious and conscious biases impact the workplace and there are key data-driven strategies and tactics that can be employed by business leaders and employees to ensure such biases are mitigated.

The Pearl Initiative, in collaboration with “SABIC Young and Diversity communities” is organising a session for university and post-graduate students in Saudi Arabia to raise awareness on diversity, inclusion and its importance in in any environment (for students, future employees, and entrepreneurs)

The session will focus on the importance of addressing biases in the workplace as part of the business’s corporate governance approach and will include the following:
• Shared experiences on successful business practices addressing bias in the workplace
• Practical know-how, tools, and methods to mitigate bias
• Examples of diversity and inclusion best practices implemented by SABIC and other companies in Saudi Arabia and the Gulf region

The session will take place with King Saud University students in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
