In May 2022, the Saudi council of ministers approved the country’s new fintech strategy as a new pillar of the Saudi Vision 2030 Financial Sector Development Program. This represented a key milestone in the advancement of the fintech industry in the Kingdom. A key element of the emergence of this sector has been the focus around localization of offering and regulation.
